R.I.P Michael Jackson

Today marks a sad day as the once great "King of Pop" has passed away on an accidental drug overdose given by Michael's doctor.

Michael will forever be remembered as the most amazing pop sensation that ever graced the stage and paved the way for future artists everywhere.

This is my credo to one of my most beloved musical artists and I pray that he has finally found solace in Heaven.

May you Rest In Peace Michael.

You will forever be missed by many...

3 Days...

It's been 3 days.
3 days since the first time I saw her enter the room.
3 days since I introduced myself.
3 days since the first time we talked.
3 days since I got her name.
It's only been 3 days.
But I can't get her out of my mind.
Her brown eyes. Her smile. Her dimples. Her voice.
Everything.
I know it's only been 3 days, but I'm trying so hard to stop.
Trying to tell myself to slow down. To get to know her better.
To take my time.
Its been 3 days.
But I think it's too late.
I'm falling.
And I think I'm falling hard.
I really hope it works out.
Because she is everything I've ever wanted...

It's Been Awhile...

Some days can be a total bore, monotonous even at times, and you constantly think and ask yourself why your life is so bland. So uninteresting. So expected.

It can be repetitive, this thing called life.

School, work, homework, dinner. It's all the same everyday.

Nothing seems to change.

It's like you're living a constant rerun and it seems as if that's the way its going to be, for awhile.

But then there's those special moments that waken us up. That reminds us that this thing called life, may be more interesting than we actually assumed.

We may not realize it yet at this time, but things do happen for a reason.

Everything that we do has an effect and a consequence. Two minor outcomes that plays a significant role later in our lives.

Every decision and every action that we do dictates what effect and outcome will play out in the end.

Ultimately it's us who (with the help of our God, of course) dictates our future and our direction in life.

You can't just always wait patiently and hope that things will go your way all the time. You can't just sit there and hope that someone or something will save you from the monotonicity of life.

You just can't. Time is too precious to be wasted.

Don't lose it.

Cause in the end, you'll just end up regretting not doing it in the first place...

Nba World Champions 2009...

It has been a long and tiring journey for this Lakers team and words cannot even begin to fathom my happiness for them as a team and as an organization.

As a young kid, I've always grown up watching the Lakers. They were my favorite team mainly because of the brotherhood I feel whenever I watch them play as a team and also because I have always felt that we have been blessed to have so many good players as well as genuine individuals on our team.

I rooted for them when they won the championship three consecutive times in 2000-2002 and dealt with the heartbreaking loss in 2003-2004 when they lost to the young and more athletic Detroit Pistons.

I stuck with them through their long yet arduous rebuilding process in the 2005-2007 era watching Kobe trying to will his team to victory every night despite his teammates constantly struggling.

I watched in panic everytime I saw Kwame Brown touch the ball, only to lose it and turn the ball over, and I jumped for joy when I heard that we acquired Pau Gasol from the Grizzlies a year ago.

I was with them during their 2008 campaign only to be disappointed when they lost in the Nba Finals against the the more aggresive and defensive minded Boston Celtics.

Yes, as a fan I've been through a lot.

But watching them this season, and finally being able to see them hold the Larry O'Brien trophy really illustrated the culmination of their 7 long and difficult journey back to the top of the pinaccle of the Nba world.

So this championship means more to me than the ones I witnessed back in the 2000 era.

Not because Kobe has finally won his first championship without Shaq.

No.

It's because I've witnessed the adversity this franchise and team had to face in order for them to finally reclaim their spot as the best basketball team in the world.

And its that realization that makes this championship much much sweeter...

Congratulations Lakers!
